Tim Dorsey was a reporter and editor for the Tampa Tribune from 1987 to 1999, and is the author of eighteen other novels. He lives in Tampa, Florida.

Hes Back and he's Serge!

always will love Serge and Coleman! interestingly, Coleman is fairly coherent in this one. the action is slower, but true fans still will get their fix for Serge's creativity. if you haven't read the series (do start with Florida Road Kill and try to follow the series in order, you'll understand everything about Serge if you take the series in order. i never can wait for the new Serge books. i'm on tenterhooks when i know one will be dropped into m kindle fire soon.

Much better.........

I liked this book much better than the last two. It was much slower paced and seemed to suit Serge well. The earlier books in the series were much faster paced and fine, but the last two seemed to be strained like Dorsey was trying too hard. This book had a fun, if complicated plot. One would expect that with Serge. I liked the characters and the locales. I love the Keys and especially Key West. If this slower pace is to be the way with the series from now on I'm fine with it. A good read.

hideouts and many of our favorite characters from previous books

I just finished reading Tim Dorsey's new novel "Shark Skin Suite". Once again I couldn't stop laughing . Serge Storm (the main character ) sets a rocket fast ride through Florida keeping us informed with all it's history and trivia, current events criminal trends,hideouts and many of our favorite characters from previous books. Serge does all this and puts down more than his share of truly bad guys. I love Florida because of all it's weirdness and it keeps showing up in Dorsey's books. Read this book,read any of Dorsey's books and take that rocket ride through florida with Serge you will laugh your ass off.
