True Fiction

When I ordered this book, I believed it contained the wartime experiences of a military doctor at a field hospital on the Eastern Front. It was however more or less a kind of soap-opera with contrived situations, a passionate love triangle, and unrealistic twists and turns. I did read the whole book, but constantly had the feeling that a romance novel had been converted into a wartime scenario and secretly downloaded into my Kindle.
