A rare fusion of narrative and visual art!

One of the most remarkable examples of an author utilizing both narrative and visual art combined in such a way as to lead the reader into an alternative vision of human life, its origins and latent possibilities, all in the context of a richly populated universe where cross cultural exchange occurs at levels difficult to imagine, but made more transparently beautiful because of this work.

Any whose spiritual imagination has led them to wonder about cosmic dimensions of intellectual and spiritual cross fertilization should read this tale of adventure by a band of space gypsies, a race of poets forced to flee their planetary home and become students of the many civilizations found along the way to realizing the aspiration of bequeathing their assembled lore to unsuspecting recipients on a backward and confused world such as this one.

An Intriguing Tale

This is a book to be experienced and savored along multiple dimensions – the visual, the intellectual, and one I would call the timeless. Indeed one’s sense of time melds with the narrative and takes on a whole different rhythm; time is measured in eons as it carries one's imagination gracefully through successive waves of creation and evolution.
The story is told across two-page spreads in this sumptuously rendered large-format edition. On the right side of each spread is an illustration – beautifully rendered, sinuous, almost psychedelic - upon which the author has penned an often-amusing encapsulation of events. On the facing page is the detailed narrative, which takes the reader through the annals of cosmic history, using the Helianx as protagonists.
The Helianx are a fascinating cultural invention, being vast creatures who are so successful in living in harmony within their environment – feeding off cosmic energy and regulating their procreation to keep their population stable – that they are able to spend the eons in contemplation, creating poetry and song, and observing other civilizations through their telepathic abilities, and later through direct contact during their nomadic travels across the universes, and recording their cultures.
As they assimilate all this wisdom, they look for a way to preserve it for eternity, and thereby hangs the tale.

While this is the author's first fictional book, it incorporates themes and stories about the celestial hierarchy found in his earlier writings, including the Rebel Angels series, as well is as in such diverse sources as the Urantia book, the Bible, and the work of Zechariah Sitchin. It is delightful as a cosmic fable, yet also very intriguing as a colorful backstory to the creation myth most of us learned in childhood. The book is relatively short, and a compelling and thoroughly enjoyable read. You finish it with a sense of bemusement, and you will probably never look at time the same again.

"The Helianx Proposition" is a fabulous book, by which I mean it's right up there with the great fables of the world and the wonderful art they spawned, from Rumi through William Blake, even up to and beyond the Brothers Grimm. This book will surprise you because it is full of surprises, artistic and intellectual. I can do no better in praise than to quote Blake himself, who famously pointed out: "Eternity is in love with the productions of time." All hail, eternity, and all hail to those who sail in or even rethink her! Nobody today does this kind of book better today than Timothy Wylie.

Absolutely love it!

I absolutely love this book! It's short and sweet and gets right to the point. You can tell he put a lot of effort in researching all these people he mentioned and he truly deserves praise for that.

I follow this man on Instagram and I was completely thrilled to hear he had a book coming out and as soon as he posted that it was out I started reading it. The way he kept coming back to how people are like the elephants throughout the book is what drew me to this book. It gave me a visual on how at times we've all been conditioned and need to break free! He truly has inspired me and I can't wait for many more of his books to come out. Read it. It just may open your eyes to what you need to do in order to live your life to the fullest and keep going when times are hard.

This short, simple, yet powerful book is full of allegories and short history lessons on some of the most well known failures in history - failures that became successes because they never gave up! From Michael Jordan to Abe Lincoln you'll learn things you never knew about their triumphs over adversities. His allegories include tales of a butterfly coming out of a cocoon to a bald eagle going thru rebirth - and it's easy to get the point that we cannot give up, and success takes time and effort. He ties the theme of the poor circus elephant into the entire book. Success is all in our mind. I highly recommend this book to anyone who needs motivation right now to keep pursuing their goals and dreams

A must read for all parents and those who want to know more about the mass awakening taking place currently!

This is an extremely well-written book and quite revolutionizing in many ways. It efficiently and effectively combines the author's metaphysical and spiritual experiences as well as research done till date in these areas.I had read about the new age Indigo children before but this book offers much more, it offers experiential information about rainbow and crystal children.It has given me a totally new perspective about children and has given me so many golden tips about how to raise my own kids. As I work with kids on a daily basis, it has made me sensitive to their needs and expectations, now that I know the reasons why they behave in a certain way, why they are sometimes spacey, knowing where it is coming from. I think these facts and experiences should be read and well-understood by all parents to raise a new generation of children where all their emotional and psychological needs are interpreted correctly, else we will have more and more children on psychotic drugs.
I was mesmerized by the author's transformation and her spiritual journey over all these years- her experiences as a child growing up in the West and her life lessons learnt in India. The book offers a lot even to a "worldly" person like me. It has transformed me and opened doors of spirituality that were either completely closed before or maybe the seed from some previous birth was already there. Since I have read the book, I am also trying to practice to completely surrender and let go. Mana, you have made me believe that we all can heal ourselves and no longer need to carry our emotional baggage.
I am really thankful to the author for opening my eyes to the vast human potential by acting through our highest self and the current mass awakening taking place currently.I loved the book and suggest it to everyone who wants to know about life and beyond, new age children and so much information that has remained hidden from us for so long...

A must Have!! Excellent book!

Once in a while there comes along a book that creates a shift within you. For me THIS is a book that does just that. It is an eye opener in today’s times where we all have so many questions and very few true answers. A beautifully written book – it reveals, exposes, confirms encourages, guides in an easy manner! As you move along the book, you find yourself going through myriad feelings ranging from shock to peace. The book reveals a lot about the present day world and it does so through the actual journey of the author through countries, consciousness and roles. It confirms what I have always suspected deep within- that the negativity seeped in today’s world is not random- there is more to it! As the twists and turns get revealed in Mana’s own life, I found myself resonating with her journey and with the truth getting unfolded. It also confirms what we already know by now, all across the globe, that we are not alone in the universe!
Who is this book for ? Soul Song of New Age Children is an excellent book for All parents, spiritual seekers, activists , people/ parents of kids diagnosed with Autism, ADD, ADHD, Depression, social disorders…basically anyone who is living or intends to live a conscious life. However, the profound insights and wisdom are contained in an easy style, divided into different sections within the book. Though I have read the book twice, I still open a section and go through it whenever I need to.
As a reader/ receiver you dive into the book with the personal journey of the author. She does leave you wanting for more as you catch glimpses of her life as a forest scientist, single mom and a conduit of healing. As you move along the book, you realize that the author consciously chooses to allow the book to unfold in its pure pristine form – and you as a reader just sit back in awe as the messages from other dimensions & masters unfold through the medium of the book.
I believe that whatever I need is revealed to me at just the right time through just the right medium. This book is a testimony of that. Bold, Brave and refreshingly honest, this book is a must have!!

This is an excellent and well written book outlining author's unique experiences. It is certainly a good and easy read for anybody. You do not need to be a spiritual person to read this book. However, this will be a good book if you wish to explore, spirituality, mysticism, ancient knowledge and wisdom. This is a must read book if you are a parent of a child who is going through any types of crisis or developmental challenges. In fact, this book will help and guide you through any crisis if you are going through or may face in the future.

This book has certainly and significantly changed my life in many ways. It changed my view of the world in many aspects. I was a normal person living in a physical world before I read the book. This book has opened some doors for me to understand how the soul world works. I can now understand various types of souls and how and why they behave in certain ways while living as human in this world.

After reading this book, I could identify soul types of people within my life and started to understand them better. My relationship with my loved ones improved and I started to see a higher purpose of myself. This book has pushed me towards my journey in to spirituality and ancient wisdom. . I was hoping to find some references to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre's production of 'This Hollow Crown' which I was fortunate enough to see in 1963, with Diana Rigg as one of the principals. It was spectacular, she was lovely.

I have not yelled at anyone in the last 2 weeks and I overall feel much more in control :-)

I have been feeling quite overwhelmed lately and rather than just reading fiction romance to evade my reality, I decided to go for a self-help book to take some actions and change things.

I almost went straight to chapter 4 (how to overcome stress)! The start of the book was a bit too slow for me, but after the first 3 chapters I must say it really gets mind-blowing.
The author gives dozens of tips how to improve your life and kill the stress.

My bigger take-aways are the mantras to repeat in difficult situations. I now spontaneously think of "What's the worst that could happen" and "This, too, shall pass" and it helps me tremendously to refocus in a difficult situation and to see it from a different perspective!

It is very well organized and brings you the big picture about this important aspect of our lives. While containing some theory, there are quite some examples and tips on stress in real life.

If you're interested in living a life without the negative consequences and occurrences of stress, this book is definitely worth the bucks.

This book was a good read and it kept me engaged the entire way through. Thinking about and doing some of the techniques proved very relaxing. Just thinking about the factors in my life caused me to assess my stress level and what’s healthy for my lifestyle.
The chapters were short and concise without any extra filler. Highly recommended!

Did not want this book to end!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this book! The plot was great with a little suspense to it that I enjoyed. This story also has a few surprise twists to it that I did not see coming. A nice storyline about families both at different points in their lives but also have parallel stories. The two main female characters are very well developed. I look forward to reading more books from this author. I really like Her writing style.

Would Be a Great Book Club Read

This is a great book to suggest for your book club. I read it on my own, but wished I had some others to discuss it with. I definitely had a favorite of the two wives early on. And the other one was aggravating me early on! But... I can see how others might side with her, so I think there'd be some lively #TeamClaire v. #TeamEleanor discussion amongst book club members! I especially loved how Paterka deftly handled the character arc for each of the wives as the novel progressed. Lots of good stuff to dig into here!

Richard was a great provider for her family so Eleanor never had anything ...

Eleanor Anderson had no idea what was going to happen after her husband Richard died of a heart attack. What she REALLY didn't know, was that his death would turn her world around completely.

Eleanor's husband's work took him away from home for weeks every month. Although they had been married for 38 years, the spark had gone away long ago. Richard was a great provider for her family so Eleanor never had anything to worry about. She had quit her job as a teacher right after her children were born as Richard promised he would take care of her.

After Eleanor finds Richard dead, problems arise. Their insurance agent discovers he had given his policy to another woman...named Claire Anderson.

Without giving too much away, I will say there were a couple times during this book that the suspense was killing me! Soon after Eleanor's family finds that he had given away almost all their money to another woman, the story gets very exciting. They find out Richard married another woman four years ago, and neither woman had any idea. The concept of this is so crazy that it had me hooked instantly. However, I thought the amount of internal struggle was a little too much. There were too many questions being asked in the character's heads. Some people may enjoy this, but for me it became somewhat dull.

Chesterton yes, Kindle version no.

This bad review has nothing to do with the book's content. G.K. Chesterton is on his game and has a lot of worthwhile things to say about England and America. However, the Kindle version was very difficult to read because the prose on the page looked like poetry (with long line followed by short line followed by long line).

The Personla Transformation of Queenie Review

What starts off as a personal trainer eager to fix an ailing overweight woman quickly spirals into a murder mystery with Joan Freed at the center and Queenie, her new charge, in a state of emotional catharsis amidst unknown danger. This is perfect example of misdirection in a mystery novel. For the first few chapters you'd be right to believe that this is a literary novel geared towards getting the reader to eat more healthy and consider healthier life choices as they live them vicariously through a jolly old woman. Then, when it's least expected, death finds its way to forefront of the story, both present and repressed. Characters climb a great arc and come out the other end changed from who they were. Definitely a read worth experiencing.

This was a heartfelt story of the emotional and physical metamorphosis of a woman coming to terms with grief decades after its origin, while Ms Freed untangles the mind blowing mystery she was unwittingly involved in from the start.

This was, I guess, a cozy mystery. It was light and bright with a lot of info on personal growth. The author must be excellent at coaching since she writes about it with knowledge and compassion.

How to be a good person in a messed up world.

One day three Gods come down to Earth in Szechwan China in the early part of the 20th century. They meet an indigent man, a water carrier named Wang and ask him to find someone who will put them up for the night. They are travelling the world in search of good persons. They find one. After getting refused repeatedly, Wang at last finds someone to host these gentlemen, a prostitute named Shen-Teh. At some expense to herself, as she is expecting a client, Shen-Teh selflessly lets them stay with her. Pleased they were able to find a good person, they give her 1,000 silver coins.

With this money Shen-Teh buys a tobacco shop. Immediately people start taking advantage of her. An entire family moves into the shop. People make claims, saying she owes them money. Facing swift ruin, Shen-Teh creates a fictitious cousin, Shui-Ta. She dresses up as him, and he's able to put people off in the way she can't. Shui-Ta can say no. Shui-Ta helps her out then leaves.

Shen-Teh continues on, trying to make a living with the shop. On a rainy evening Shen-Teh meets a man Yang Sun. He is about to commit suicide. She speaks with him and prevents it. She falls in love with him.

That's the basic plot setup. I'll just add that Shui-Ta is forced to come back again. Things just keep conspiring against good Shen-Teh.

It's unconventional, as Brecht frequently is. Characters will break into song every once in a while. They'll talk directly to the audience. Sylistically, it's part fable/parable, part farce, part tragedy. I read the tone as semi-humourous, semi-serious. It's absurdist, but I agree with the idea that you can't have great comedy without a serious undercurrent and that comedy enhances a serious subject.

I had a few minor quibbles - towards the end it got a trifle confusing, there are a lot of minor characters that I had some trouble keeping track of, and I found Yang Sun a tad cryptic.

What The Heck Brecht?

The Good Person, is a play written in the early 1940s by German playwright, Bertolt Brecht. The play is, among many things, layered and has a a flare for the imaginative with it's constant referral to the unknown (gods) and metaphorical audience winks. I enjoyed the play, and though sometimes understanding material from eastern cultures can be difficult at times (I always consider Monkey by Wu Cheng'en), this doesn't necessarily require a predisposed knowledge of Szechwan history to grab onto the story. It has a great sense of humor, and it's one that I will be keeping on my shelf.

Im tired of receiving books from amazon that do not feel new and look new (completely unused).

I keep receiving books that are already open and not"new" as they are supposed to be. I received the book with bended lines on the side of the cover, as well as some corner of the pages. Im tired of receiving books from amazon that do not feel new and look super old.
