As the SWAT team surrounds her family home waiting for her husband to surrender, Holly knew there was no turning back. Fighting for her husband and her family, she prevails and a new life opens up only to set the stage for an ultimate and final betrayal coupled with the rape of her daughter at Ft. Hood Texas.
Sunny Side Up is a story that took 47 years before it could be told. It is unfathomable to think that such an ensemble of events could come together and happen in one lifetime. I downloaded the book this morning and didn't stop reading until I was done. As I read, I would find my laughing with you and then my eyes would tear up and I cried with you. There were times I could relate to what you were going through. Now I know you in a whole new light. I can't wait to read your next book.

The title is so right for this book! Through all the Gritty that Holly has lived through, she keeps seeking the light. Her faith in God is palpable throughout the book. Working with her, she is one crazy chica who is also a glass half-full woman.

Holly writes from her heart about her life, and you find yourself smiling and tearing too. You learn Holly's love and devotion for her children is very deep and very wide. You also realize her strong love and commitment for her husband--even in the toughest of times. You wonder how she can do it all, and you're so thankful she did!
