About the Author
Raised in Montgomery, Alabama, educated at Tuskegee University and Howard Law School, former tutor in clinical studies at the Yale Law School, Clarance Jones creates characters with stories inspired by actual cases over which he presided as a superior court trial judge. Former president of the National Consortium on Racial and Ethnic Fairness in the Courts and former president of the Connecticut Judges Association, Clarance resides in Sarasota, Florida, and Madison, Connecticut, with his wife, Maureen. They have three adult children and four grandchildren.

Very exciting and informative read!!

Triumph is a great read! Intriguing story of an infant who is rescued from death... an inside glimpse of a system where juveniles and parents try to manage their challenging lives, foster homes and therapeutic residential centers try to address the needs of the children....and it is all told from the trial judge's point of view. I couldn't stop reading until I finished. I loved it and so will you! Try it...I bet you will like it!!!

sorry for the bad pun, a triumph

I am a colleague of Judge Jones, and I can verify, first hand, that his book is, sorry for the bad pun, a triumph. Throughout an amazingly rich life, Judge Jones has walked the walk, and now he is talking the talk about legal issues that we need to be, and are, sensitive to every day. Judge Jones was a mentor and an inspiration on the bench, and continues to be so with this splendid book. I can't wait for a sequel!!

Moving story!

Powerful, unsettling, and ultimately victorious story about the juvenile court system. By including factual information, the book explores connections between the children, law enforcement, social workers, government officials and volunteers. Both an educational and enjoyable reading experience. I found myself late for an appointment because I didn't want to put he book down!
