I gave it a three star rating because I was not completely satisfied with the information. I felt none of the directions of how to were complete. Very weak on how to make and set the triggers. Not knowing much on all of these traps, it was difficult for me to know how to set the triggers. The trigger is one of the most important part of the trap. If the trigger doesn't work right, then the trap is useless.

Some translations are off by a word or two but nothing to fret. I waited for some time to get this book for my library. I really enjoyed it and it was informative but educational in many details some have forgotten about this time of war. I recommend it !

Short and smart guide to publishing books as an independent author.

I have read all of Michael Rogan's books about writing and publishing ebooks. This book is a good addition to the collection. I have found his ideas very inspirational. The books are short, but that is because there is no fluff. They are straight and to the point and tell you exactly how to write, publish or promote your ebooks and make a decent income from them. This particular book is full of ideas and tactics on how to publish your book and get it sold. He also goes more into creating a print book than he does in his other books.

Who knew self publishing was so simple?

I’ve aspired to write a book for years, but have always been discouraged by the seemingly daunting task of publishing. It seemed like one of those impractical far-off goals which I would accomplish “someday.” After reading this book, however, I am optimistic that I can actually do this, and I’m getting to work immediately. This book has convinced me that self publishing is a lot simpler than I had ever considered. In fact, that it seems to be something that anyone with internet access can accomplish, provided that they have some level of patience, consideration, and attention to detail.

In “How to Publish a Book that Doesn’t Suck and Will Actually Sell,” Michael Rogan gives you a step-by-step guide to putting your book out there, whether in the form of an eBook, an audio book, or a physical book (he recommends all three). Rogan has done it many times, and he’s done so very successfully. Because of his extensive experience, he’s already made all of the rookie mistakes for you. He saves you the headache of trial and error.

Michael Rogan’s “How to Publish a Book That Doesn’t Suck“ speaks about publishing your book in the same way you would want a how-to book to speak to you about fixing your furnace at 2 a.m. on a frigid December morning: always an encouraging word with a happy balance between banter and detailed information.

Rogan seems driven to help the reader maneuver through the book publication minefield minus the mines. His wacky-tour-guide writing style could be compared to Peter Bowerman’s in “The Well-Fed Writer.” Despite his buoyant style, the author’s focus is relentless, covering e-book, audio book and paperback publishing, as well as DIY and international markets. In seven tightly structured chapters with many bullet points, he explains manuscript, cover and title preparation; researching keywords; ideas for assembling a print book; methods of DIY publishing and more.

Fly Girl book 1 provided the origin story of Fly Girl, aka Caryn Clay and book 2 continues right where book 1 left off. Caryn is still struggling to understand the gift her grandmother gave to her while trying to recover from her first run in with the mysterious Trickster. She quickly learns that the Trickster isn't the only person she has to worry about.

The author does a nice job of advancing the development of the main character while introducing a new antagonist and setting the stage for more interesting adventures featuring Fly Girl.

But, as the reader follows her story of the perfect life, family, and world, you begin to see a pattern that was forming throughout her marriage, but which came to a head when her husband fell in love with a co-worker and attempted to remove her from his life. Your heart will ache for this talented woman, made to feel inferior and worthless by a controlling, high-powered, intelligent professional. As you follow along through the years of pain and sadness, you are rooting for Ilse to fight back and take control of her life. Maybe someone you know could benefit from her courageous battle.

An inspirational read...from darkness to light.

As a co-founder of a shelter for battered and abused women and children, I witnessed the tragic emotional, mental and physical spousal abuse. It takes alot of support and counseling to move domestic abuse victims from the emergency crisis phase to making the transition toward self-sufficiency, independence and freedom. Ilse went back to her family roots of determination, honesty, integrity, respect, trust, and love of God to move forward once again finding peace, laughter, love and the power from within. An inspirational read...from darkness to light.

I recently got arrested for a DWI and this story perfectly expressed the horror associated with being locked up. Of course many deserve it but for those of us that simply are experiencing a bump in the road it does make a lasting impression. I think this book is worth the read. There are a couple of grammatical errors but not enough to take away from the enjoyment of it.

This book has not been written with a specific type of addiction or habit in mind. There are plenty of addiction-specific books out there. Idolatry is really at the root of addiction. People, things or behaviors take on an importance that is out of proportion in our lives. We look to these people, things or behaviors to provide us with something they were never intended to give. Whether it be our homes or possessions (materialism), past-times and pursuits (our own creativity and talents), careers and accomplishments (success and reputation), food/drink, sex, or artificial substances (pleasures), or families, friends, spouses/lovers (relationships) – none of these are capable of providing ultimate meaning in and of themselves. And yet we so naturally attempt to build our lives around them. This book is an invitation to embark upon a journey to find ultimate meaning, fulfillment and responsible freedom so that we can enjoy the good things of this world without unhealthy attachment. In the research literature one finds something referred to as the Stages of Change Model. With regards to an addictive behavior or habit, people are usually in one of six stages: Pre-contemplation (not ready to quit); Contemplation (thinking about quitting); Preparation (ready to quit); Action (quitting); Maintenance (staying quit); Termination (living quit). With regards to spiritual growth and development, the Christian mystical traditions also speak of stages: Awakening, Conversion, Purgation, Illumination, and Union. As a person moves through these stages he/she is growing stronger spiritually, becoming more centered upon the Divine. While it may be true that usually the spiritual stages are representative of a person’s life journey as a whole, they may also represent the changes necessary for a person to move from one unique area of brokenness to a place of healing, freedom, and life. Radiantly transforming

This book is equal to hundreds of spiritual, personal growth books combined into one. Through the years, I have read many books on spirituality, holistic topics and personal growth. No book has touched by heart and soul quite like this one. The root cause of all addiction is an empty void, an abyss that is often filled with destructive habits, like addiction to food, shopping, sex, relationships, drugs, alcohol and so much more.
As I read this book, I became aware and conscious of how my daily habits, attachments and addictions, will improve once I get God on my “team”. I went from feeling powerless to totally inspired, motivated and powerful as I journeyed through the stages. Trapped emotions and thoughts, came bubbling up to the surface ready to be released. I got rid of old habits, patterns and behaviors, that no longer serve me. As I “cleaned out my life” I became closer to God and developed deeper faith and trust. I looked at my life from a whole different lens. All of my perceptions changed, I developed a deeper understanding of myself , others and God. This book stays next to my bed and I refer to it often for daily inspiration. When I pick it up, I am often divinely and intuitively guided to exactly what lesson of truth I need in that moment.
Gary has combined his energy and passion for spirituality with deep wisdom, knowledge, compassion and understanding of the human journey. I felt soothed and comforted by his words and style of writing. He uses personal and family examples to teach us, the reader how to add a “God connection” to our quest for personal growth and freedom. Gary has a unique way of showing us, the reader, how to apply Biblical principles to our daily life to transform struggles into triumph.
At a time when so many of us our trying to improve our habits for the sake of our wellness, this book is a reminder that motivation and “will power” cannot happen alone. We truly need “God Power” to change our ways. We need the deep intimate source of our Creator in order to grow, evolve and change into the best human version of ourself. As a health, life and wellness coach , I will refer many clients to this invaluable tool, which needs to be on the shelf of anyone seeking personal growth and transformation.

The feeling I got from reading was inner strength and a more positive attitude!

Long time despaired; this Book helped me turn my upside down World upright. Boy, is it a blessing to read such books! Following the wise tips and advices, guidance and tricks, made me feel good and boost my confidence. They slowly put me on the road to mastering myself; I feel I am heading at last for success. I would highly recommend reading this book especially those who are still at the bottom of the ladder. Be guided. Your day to the top is sure to come!

Straightforward Simply Tips

This was a very straightforward and basic book with helpful tips on many social issues such as how to hold a conversation, break bad habits, and set healthy attainable goals for yourself.

I gave this book four stars because it is very basic and simple and does not delve deeply into any of the specific topics; for example public speaking and overcoming addictive behaviors are both broad areas in which many people struggle and areas with vasts amount of research, that if such things are a real issue for you, you may want to search other more specific areas.

However, I thought this was a great book and resource for adolescents who may be a bit shy or need help feeling more comfortable in their own skin. The way the book is written, with many of the tips being bullet-pointed, serves as a quick and fast resource and would be very helpful for quick reviews even after reading the book.

This is a good quick read and would be especially helpful for someone still in high school or who will be entering college or the workplace for the fist time.
